I do love this time of the year for events and the variety of things to shoot. Not only that, the sunshine we have had has been beautiful. The older i get the more i appreciate the warmer weather.

I felt in Paignton i shot a lot of cars, and not enough of what makes the event tick. The people. I love shooting people in their environment. Car lovers are super passionate about their motors, a bit like me and my passion for camera gear.
It was absolutely packed with people, kids and vendors there, all enjoying the amazing show put on. If you read last weeks blog, you’ll know im terrible for getting the shots i want and need and then going home. This event was no different. I suppose the saying is ‘quality over quantity’.

Photographers were everywhere, a long with this artist drawing/painting one of the American cars. If there’s a lesson to be learned from this guy, it’s that nobody cares what you are doing. I for one sometimes worry about what people think or may say because im carrying a camera. Then i also think, who gives a f**k.
Who needs a bag when you can use this.
The different variety of people and their intentions there is what motivates me. No matter where you look, something different is going on. The families, the car loves, bikers, creative and so on. All in the element.
The gallery above will give you a better idea as to why i go to events like this. Not only does it get your steps in walking around, you get a variety of shots that ticks all the boxes. I am a massive street photography fan, and the work inspires me massively when i’m shooting.
