The Snatch and Grab: Ocean City vs Keyham Colts Cup Final

What a day. What a final.

Cup finals are supposed to be tense, dramatic, and unforgettable, and Ocean City vs Keyham Colts delivered every bit of that and more.

For the majority of the match, it looked like Keyham Colts were going to get the win and take the trophy home. They led 1-0 and with the clock running down, Ocean City were running out of time and they kids were digging deep.

Ocean City found something, heart, determination, belief and pulled level to make it 1-1. The celebrations said it all. From the brink of defeat to parity in the dying moments, it was the kind of goal that makes grassroots football so special.

With the scores level at full time, it went to penalties. Nerves, drama, and everything on the line for a group of kids who had already shown incredible character. Ocean City held their nerve to win it on penalties.

As you can imagine, Keyham Kolts were absolutely gutted. They pushed all the way and should be incredibly proud of their performance. But on the day, it was Ocean City who got their hands on the trophy in the most dramatic fashion possible.

A great day for everyone involved. Players, parents, and anyone lucky enough to be there to watch it. This is why i love my job.
